Social Responsibility in an Economic Crisis
In a public talk hosted by the Institute for Tourism Studies in Macau, Dr. Thomas Tang, GIFT’s Executive Director, emphasised the importance of re-educating young people about social responsibility in corporate and business life. Dr. Tang argued that corporate misbehaviour has been a primary cause of the current global financial crisis. He suggested that young people can learn social responsibility through engaging in service-oriented projects for the less privileged within their communities, or in less developed countries.
