GIFT is continually seeking project opportunities for the Global Young Leaders Programme(YLP) through which we work closely with NGO partners and investors to bring about sustainable development outcomes. The projects may be in rural or urban settings, in either developed or developing country contexts.
If your project meets the following criteria please contact us by filling out the attached form.
YLP Project Criteria
- Are well-suited to a business-oriented approach through which self-sustaining benefits for local communities as well as for young leaders and investors are achievable.
- Already having a sound business case to build on, or reasonably good potential for products or services to be developed.
- Where basic infrastructures such as roads, water supply, and electricity are largely in place.
- Where the NGO partner we work with has maintained strong relationships and networks in the project area over some years.
- Where the NGO partner and local people are open to adopting business approaches in tackling social development issues.
- Where the project area is not in a major conflict-zone.
- Where there is strong local leadership, in terms of integrity, creative problem-solving mindsets and entrepreneurship. Having local entrepreneurs or people with the desire and capability to start their own businesses is particularly important to ensure long term success of GIFT-NGO partnership projects.
- Where the NGO partner and local people have an entrepreneurial rather than a charity mindset.
